We’ve found some counter tops. Yippee.
NaBloPoMo Day 2.
Okay. I’m a little drained from a 10 mile run this a.m. Hadn’t run that much since beginning of October.
Then there was the Georgia Florida football game this afternoon. Wore me out. Don’t ask why a woman my age would be jumping up and down and screaming at the television. Embarrassing. But at least this year, a bunch of Gators got together and watched/suffered together.
Well, between the run and game I ran out to a Home Depot with my left brain.
Diana. A bestie who is also my left brain.
We were on a mission to find counter tops for our cabinets that have recently been installed.
So.
My left brain and I walked toward the counter top area.
And there I stood. Just as a box turtle stalled mid-road. Paralyzed at the sights and sounds of speckled granite (and granite composite).
And i think we found something to match our cabinets.
Thanks to our helpful counter top associate Sharon. With Sharon and my friend, it was like having two left brains.
With two left brains I could take over the world.
Or maybe set up a week’s worth of blog posts a month in advance.
Then I wandered over to the fixtures. Closed my eyes. And bought a few boxes.
Then my left brain and I loaded up our purchases and headed homeward.
How about you?
Do you feel more comfortable working your way through a Lowe’s or Home Depot — or your supermarket?
I get so lost at Home Depot! I’m for sure a better supermarket navigator!
I’m a supermarket girl. I’d be lost with Stacie in the Home Depot. And Costco? Forget about it. I hate that place. I love my “left brain” too. Don’t know what I’d do without her.
Home Depot overwhelms me. Of course, I rent instead of own, so I don’t have much use to go there. But I was looking for Blinds and Shelves one day and I swear I could’ve been there for 3 hours and I probably would have left with a Garage Door opener just because I didn’t know what else to do.
I’ve been to Home Depot twice this weekend. We went Saturday morning for the Kids Workshop and then we were back this morning to buy blinds for our new place. That and a tape gun because we cannot find ours. We almost couldn’t find one at Home Depot. Luckily, they were sold near the blinds. That was pure dumb luck.
Now that we purchased a new one, the old one should turn up at any moment.
I so agree. We have enough bug spray and soluble fiber to kill every bug and irregular day till eternity. Whenever I can’t find it — it buy it. Then it turns up.
Yes Jake — That’s why I bring friends who get in between those orange and cement aisle and roll around like a cat in a field of cat nip.
A 10 mile run AND a trip to Home Depot? Are you going to make me feel worthless every weekend? 😉
No. The ten mile run was because I’ve run a half marathon on Thanksgiving every year for way too long. About this time (first part of November) I realize, I need to run something close to 13 miles. As we were finishing my friend looked at me and said, “I got my second wind, want to do more?” Good grief no.
My now ex-husband and I built a home together, as a result of which the mere sight of Home Depot or Lowe’s makes me apoplectic. It makes the produce aisle seem like paradise!
