After the party. There’s the AFTER party.
Five minute Friday.
Unedited, mind drip-onto-the-page. No edits. Unless their horribly silly typos, I admit it.
Our prompt: After
GO.
After the party ~ we clean up.
After the movie ~ we put away our tissues. Throw empty popcorn containers in the trash. Get in our cars and drive home.
After graduation ~ we stare at the rest of our life.
After children ~ we stare at the rest of their lives.
After too much candy ~ I vow to not eat candy for six months.
After too much sun ~ That one stumps me.
After Downton Abbey ~ my husband and I usually swear we will never watch it again.
After a blow dry ~ I pray it doesn’t rain.
After cooking a big dinner ~ I hate to clean up.
After a good night’s sleep ~ I wake up tired.
After I brush my teeth ~ I don’t want to eat anything. Maybe I should brush my teeth more.
TIME.
What are some of your afters?

You want an honest after? After the movie we get our free refill and take the popcorn home, thinking we’ll want more. Usually we don’t.
I liked your post.

Hi Jaime,
Thanks for stopping by my blog…looks like we had a similar inspiration for our FMF 🙂 You’re brushing teeth one made me smile 🙂 Thanks.
Yes, teeth brushing is a great anti-snacking trick (especially after swearing off candy!)
I couldn’t find you in the line up this weekend, so I have hunted you down!!!! Actually, I was just missin’ you. What a great take on this word. My afters are:
After skiing – hot tub!
After lacrosse practice with 15 first and second graders – a large blended iced coffee
After cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom – a little me time!
Love it! Have a great week friend.
Debi. I thought I was brave to take on soccer practice with kindergarteners. Lacrosse? With sticks? Not really sure what they are called but you are brave indeed!!
Jamie, you totally are a super hero. (And I agree – round up on those miles!) I was mostly impressed by you staying up until 9:25. I’d like to learn how to do that. Yesterday I rocked super hero status by taking a boot camp class at the gym at 5:30 AM. (And then fell asleep on the couch – drool and all by 8:55.)
